Objective
Design a coded longform article which illustrates the subject matter and creates artistic interest.
Solution
My team and I chose an article published in 2000 by Wired Magazine, exploring the life and death of psychedelic guru and visionary psychonaut Terence McKenna. I used the research of McKenna's life and the science behind psychedelics to bring this biographical Wired article to life. I employed the ideas and principals behind McKenna's work and the aesthetics of the late 1960's to inform my illustration style. My partners and I worked together to reach a cohesive look for the article and create interest for the subjects of pychedelics, technology and ethnobotony.
